Fundraising Overview
The Cooperative Preschool annually holds a fundraising auction, which enjoys a great reputation on the Island. It shows both the depth of commitment parents have to their school, and how much the communtiy as a whole values this incredible resource.

The school fees just cover the teachers salary, which leaves a shortfall that has to be raised to cover everything else, from equipment to scholarships. Over the years, we have found that the best way to raise the funding we need is to put on one large event. Everyone in the school plays a part in putting on the auction, from chairing committees to helping with the food. We are amazing when we work together in this way, and every job, no-matter how small, is crucial to the success of the auction.

Fundraising Alternatives
This year we are investigating alternatives to the auction fo develop long term fundraising options for the Preschool. One area we are looking into is applying for grants to help with specific projects. The School needs to look into long term investment alternatives which will enable us to augment the revenue from the auction. If you have any ideas, expertise, contacts or information that would be helpful here, please contact Jaculin Dougher

Thriftway Receipts
Thriftway offers a cash for schools program. By collecting all our receipts, the school will receive a percentage of the total amount we have all spent at Thriftway. It is a great way to raise much needed extra cash to support the school, and in the past we have collected over $1200 at the end of the year. Please collect all your receipts, put your name and phone number on the back and place in the folder at school. If you have any questions, please contact the Thriftway Receipts Coordinator.
